WAPPINGERS FALLS — Newark Valley senior Erin Cawley and Ithaca High's top cross-country runners participated in the New York State Federation Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Bowdoin Park.

Cawley placed 11th in the girls' field with a time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds on the 3.1-mile course. Roslyn's Emily Lipari won in 18:15.
